Grandpa says Cousin Jenny is an Elizabethan. Apparently Elizabethans are women who like other women. I ask him if Jenny knows Shakespeare and he nods his head. They all know each other, he says. They have this secret society that wants to indoctrinate everyone to their way of thinking. He waves his hands around like a madman, almost foaming at the mouth. He’s so animated he looks ready to jump right out of his chair. I laugh, a little nervous. I don’t think he’ll understand when I tell him I know Shakespeare too, but I’m going to tell him anyway.
