A roaring, screaming, relentless wind thunders trees to the ground while Jigsaw howls, and claws a hole through the linoleum. Quilts stapled over the windows wave as the house breathes in and out. Children unaware and asleep in the closet –I pray the rosary as time stands still. Tornado after tornado roar past, making a supersonic thrumming in my chest. The Lufkin DJ talks us through it. His reassuring, calm voice reaching through the tiny radio.
